what founditory is
Founditory is a workspace for students and recent graduates to shape and share startup ideas. Asad Usman runs Founditory and is the data controller. That means we decide how your personal data is used to provide the service.
what we store
We store your account email, name, avatar, profile information and sign-in details. We store the content you add: ideas, drafts, field versions, files, notes and messages. Meeting records can include notes, transcripts and participants. Please make sure everyone knows about any recording or transcription before uploading it.
For AI connections, we process OAuth access tokens that let an authorised AI client access Founditory on your behalf. These are not your AI provider's password or login credentials.
We may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and error reports for security and troubleshooting. We keep support messages so we can answer your requests.
how we use it
We use account details to run your account, your content to show you your work and share it with the people you choose, . Our legal basis for these uses is performing our agreement with you. When you ask for the built-in coach, research or meeting summaries, we send the relevant content to our AI service provider to generate a response.
We use technical information and support messages to keep the service secure, prevent fraud, fix problems and answer you. Our basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe, working service. We rely on legal obligations for records we must retain, and consent where the law requires it.
who we share with
Lovable Cloud provides our hosting, database, authentication and storage. Our transactional email service delivers account and service messages. These providers process information needed to do their jobs.
AI providers receive relevant content when you request built-in AI features. Separately, if you connect an AI client such as Claude or ChatGPT, it can receive the context you request through that connection, within your existing access permissions. We do not send your private work to an external AI client without that connection and your request. The provider's own privacy terms also apply.
We may share necessary information with legal or accounting advisers, or authorities when required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
what is public
Only ideas you choose to make public are shown publicly, and only the fields and sections you choose to share. Private drafts, field history and team meeting records do not become public when you share an idea. Invited collaborators can see content according to their access.
cookies and browser storage
We use essential authentication session storage to keep you signed in, and local browser storage to remember device settings. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Doing so can sign you out and reset device preferences.
retention, security and transfers
We keep your data while needed to run your account and provide the service. Some records may need to remain longer to meet legal obligations, handle disputes or protect security. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. No service can promise perfect security. Providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we use recognised transfer safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
your rights
You can ask to access, export, correct or delete your data by emailing hello@founditory.com. Depending on your local law, you may also restrict processing, object to it, withdraw consent or complain to a data protection authority. We respond within one month where applicable law requires it. We may need to verify your identity first.
students aged 16 and over
Founditory is for people aged 16 or older. If we learn that someone under 16 has provided personal data, we will take steps to remove it. Contact us if you believe this has happened.
changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will make significant changes clear in the app and update the date above. Questions about privacy go to Asad Usman at hello@founditory.com.
